Daytona 500

Total crapshoot here, but good golly are there some great longshot odds on some good drivers! Best of luck to everyone, b/c we'll need it this week!

All bodog odds

Vickers 33/1 1 unit
Bowyer 33/1 1 unit
Ragan 35/1 .5 unit
Sadler 75/1 1 unit (love this!!!)
Burton 28/1 1 unit
McMurray 28/1 1 unit
Kurt Busch 16/1 1 unit
Newman 32/1 1 unit

Every single one of the drivers above have all shown great things in restrictor plate racing. It comes down to being in the right position in the final lap and avoiding "the big one(s)"

Let see what Valentines brings us!!!:dancefool

Not going large on todays race. I use these first 5 races to gather information on how teams made their adjustments over the offseason. Hit the longshot with McMurray last week, so playing with some house money.

Looks like, as usual, Jimmy Johnson is hands down favorite to win, at odds of 3/1. I wont go anywhere near that. Tons of guys around 10/1 to 20/1 that have a legit shot here. Don't know which one will win, but taking a few to have some action

Kenseth 14/1 1 unit
started 25th last year and dominated this race. Rousch cars have done well at 1.5-2 mile tracks historically. Hard not to take a defending champ at 14/1

Harvick 16/1 1 unit
Numerous top 10's here at this track. Had the dominant car last week at Daytona, just lost the draft on the last lap. I think the Childress cars are back to compete this year

Kyle Busch 11/1 1 unit
This kid is a sick driver. Unless his car turns to crap due to bad adjustments, he's always in the hunt for a win.

Montoya 10/1 1 unit
Probably has one of the best cars going into the race. I hate this prick, but I'll take him this week if he can win me some mula

Kahne Top 3 finish 11/1 1.5 units
7 top 10 finishes in the last 12 races here. Great value here!

Well like I said above, Johnson wins the race. Got very lucky on pit road doing it, but a win is a win. Harvick looked like he was going to run him down, then rubbed the wall and lost his momentum. Would have been a nice 16/1 hit, but no such luck. Thats why we played it small this week. Ill probably play small again this week in Vegas, as I am trying to gain some knowledge on how the cars are performing this year.

-5.5 Units on the day

+16.5 Units YTD

Still playing with house money from the McMurray win!

Best of luck to us all next week!:dancefool

Still laying somewhat low on units. Things will pick up next week, as Nascar has gone to a restrictor plate, 2 mile and 1.5 mile tracks. I will finally have some good race notes to start making educated picks.

For todays race in Vegas....

Kyle Busch 5/1 2 units

Him and Johnson race favs. Cant take both and this is Kyles home track. Won't win big if he wins, more or less taking him just to cover.

Joey Logano 30/1 .5 unit

In a Toyota car, just like Kyle and Hamlin. Ill take Logano any week he is at 25/1+. Just a half unit

Harvick 15/1 .75 unit

Most momentum in Nascar so far. Two 2nd place finishes, each with the best car. He hasnt practiced well yet, which I assume why his odds are a bit higher...but as the track changes and his crew tightens up the car, he may have a shot. Momentum bet!

Biffle 13/1 1 unit

Good odds on a great 1.5 mile driver. Shits and giggles bet

Hamlin 20/1 1 unit
Kenseth 20/1 1 uinit

Both value bets!

LETS GO RACIN BOYS!!!!
